The device (10) has a punching tool (19) for punching out punching metal sheets (12) of a lamination bundle from a sheet metal part (15). The punching tool comprises a punching stamper (20) and a punching die (21), where the punched sheets are successively stacked in the die. A bottom side (15b) and a top face (15a) of the metal part are coated with an interconnection layer (26) at a junction. Bonding tools (25) affect the top face of the metal part and the sheets in an operating state (A). The layer is heated such that adhesive property of the layer is activated. The sheet metal part is designed as a broad strip. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a bundle of laminations.
