THERMOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT

A thermoelectric conversion element, provided with: a substrate; a stacked body formed on the substrate and obtained by alternately stacking a first perovskite dielectric film containing Sr and Ti and having a first band gap and a second perovskite dielectric film containing Sr and Ti and having a second band gap which is smaller than the first band gap; a first electrode formed so as to be electrically connected to the lower edge of the stacked body; and a second electrode formed so as to be electrically connected to the upper edge of the stacked body. Both of the first and second perovskite dielectric films are doped and are electrically conductive. The first and second perovskite dielectric films have a composition generating a maximum of 0.54eV band offset between the respective conduction bands. The upper edge of the stacked body being exposed to a first temperature and the lower edge of the stacked body being exposed to a second temperature generate an electromotive force between the upper and lower edges of the stacked body.
