PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection system which solves a problem that when inspection processing is performed, a difference occurs between concentration values of an input image and a read image occurs depending on a device characteristic of an inspection sensor and dot processing at the time of printing, and hence inspection of a concentration value of sheet data after printing cannot be performed appropriately, causing quality deterioration of inspection processing.SOLUTION: An inspection system includes: first area determination means for determining, out of image data as a printing target, a first area which is an inspection target; first concentration calculation means for calculating a tendency of distribution of concentration values in the first area; second area determination means for determining, out of image data read from the printed matter, a second area corresponding to an area determined by the first area determination means; second concentration value calculation means for calculating a tendency of distribution of concentration values in the second area; and comparison means for comparing the tendency of distribution of concentration values calculated by the first concentration value calculation means with the tendency of distribution of concentration values calculated by the second concentration value calculation means so as to determine a printing quality. |
