PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain frequent switching between a strong hierarchy broadcast and a weak hierarchy broadcast.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a broadcast program receiving device comprises: a tuner which receives a strong hierarchy broadcast signal and a weak hierarchy broadcast signal from one channel and outputs reception quality information based on the received signals; first determination means which calculates a plurality of first moving average values corresponding to moving averages in the reception quality information which was output during a plurality of first periods and determines whether each of the first moving average values are lower than each of first threshold values corresponding to each of the first moving average values; second determination means which calculates a plurality of second moving average values corresponding to moving averages in the reception quality information which was output during a plurality of second periods and determines whether each of the second moving average values are higher than each of second threshold values corresponding to each of the second moving average values; and regeneration means which processes a strong hierarchy or a weak hierarchy broadcast program to regenerate it on the basis of the determination result of the first determination means or the second determination means. |
