PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, program and detection device that can detect an illegal mail on a client base.SOLUTION: When transmitting an electric mail, a computer is configured to: divide a transmission mail into text information and attachment information; generate first verification information by a predetermined algorithm using shared information as to the text information and the attachment information; add the first verification information to each header of the text information and the attachment information to generate a text information mail and an attachment information mail; and transmit the text information mail and the attachment information mail. When receiving an electric mail, the computer is configured to: generate second verification information by the predetermined algorithm using the shared information as to received text information mail and attachment information mail; compare the first verification information on the received text information mail and attachment information mail with the second verification information respectively to determine whether or not the first verification information coincides with the second verification information; and combine received text information and received attachment information when the first verification information coincides with the second verification information to generate a reception mail. |
