PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of, when an abnormality occurs in one phase of a three-phase electric motor, continuing motor drive by using remaining two phases without deteriorating a steering feeling.SOLUTION: When an abnormality in energization is detected in a drive system of one phase out of respective phase coils by an abnormality detection means, an in-abnormality phase current command value for use of coils of remaining two phases is calculated by an in-abnormality motor command value calculation means 34 on the basis of a steering assist current command value Iref, and a three-phase electric motor 12 is driven on the basis of the in-abnormality phase current command value. In this case, there is provided a current command value correction means that lowers the in-abnormality phase current command value when the sum of steering torque and steering assist torque generated in the three-phase electric motor 12 balances with an external force. |
