Provided are a capsule therapy device and therapy system with which it is possible to alleviate power consumption for generating a magnetic field with which a location or an orientation of a capsule therapy device is sensed from outside a subject. A capsule therapy device is a capsule endoscope (100) which is introduced and used within a subject, comprising: a power supply unit (123); a capsule detection magnetic field generation unit (126) which receives a supply of power from the power supply unit (123) and generates a capsule detection magnetic field for sensing a location and/or an orientation of the capsule endoscope (100) from outside the subject; an induction field detection unit (125) which senses a state of the capsule endoscope (100); and a capsule detection magnetic field control unit (127) which, on the basis of the result of an output of the induction field detection unit (125), controls the power supply to the capsule detection magnetic field generation unit (126).
