PURPOSE: A mapping apparatus of a moving body and method thereof are provided to convert a vector model based map and a raster model based map into each standard model map. CONSTITUTION: A map preparation data collecting block(106) collects map data. A vector model based map making block(108) generates a local vector map and a vector model based map. The vector model based map preparation block performs location compensation of a movable body. A raster model based map preparation block(110) prepares a raster model based map. A standard map converting block(112) converts the vector model based map and the raster model based map into a standard model map. |
