PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex phase stainless steel material and a duplex phase stainless steel pipe exhibiting favorable corrosion resistance in circumstance including corrosive substances such as chlorides, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide gas.SOLUTION: A duplex phase stainless steel material includes a ferrite phase and an austenite phase. The duplex phase stainless steel material has a component composition including ≤0.10 mass% C, 0.1-2.0 mass% Si, 0.1-2.0 mass% Mn, ≤0.05 mass% P, ≤0.03 mass% S, 0.005-0.050 mass% Al, 18.0-29.0 mass% Cr, 2.0-10.0 mass% Ni, 2.0-6.0 mass% Mo, 0.10-0.50 mass% N, 0.01-0.50 mass% Zr, 0.0005-0.010 mass% Ca, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein the mass ratio (Zr/Ca) between the amount of Zr and the amount of Ca is 10 to 300. |
