ORGAN RESECTION TOOL

A surgical tool is provided for resecting a solid organ such as a cirrhotic liver or creating a groove in a solid organ without causing bleeding. An organ resection tool has been discovered which is able to solve this problem. This organ resection tool has a brush-like structure able to perform microwave irradiation and/or a brush-like structure able to receive microwaves. The present invention (an organ resection tool having a brush-like structure able to perform microwave irradiation) is a product of this discovery. The brush of the solid organ resection tool with a brush-like structure able to perform microwave irradiation may be held in the hand and used to scrape away or resect an organ. At the same time, the organ can be coagulated by microwave irradiation to stop bleeding.
