NARROW GAUGE HIGH STRENGTH CHOKED WET TIP MICROWAVE ABLATION ANTENNA An ablation probe (100) is provided. The ablation probe (100) comprises: a coaxial feedline (102) having an inner conductor (103), an outer conductor (105) disposed coaxially about the inner conductor (103), and a dielectric (104) disposed therebetween, wherein the inner conductor (103) and dielectric (104) extend beyond the outer conductor (105) at a distal end thereof; a balun short (110) disposed in electrical communication around the outer conductor (105) and including a first longitudinal notch (111) and at least one second longitudinal notch defined therein; a conductive tube (116) disposed coaxially around the balun short (110); and at least one fluid conduit defined longitudinally within the conductive tube (116), the fluid conduit including an inflow tube (140) disposed longitudinally along the outer conductor (105) and positioned at least partially within the first notch (111). |
