This node device is in a network containing a plurality of node devices, and is characterized by being provided with: a TTL storage unit which, for a first node device which is contained in a cluster and is different from the local node device, stores a TTL value defined as an integer value and having a prescribed default value; a receiving unit which receives a first and a second hello packet sent at different timings from the first node device and containing a sequence number which is defined for the first node device and is incremented each time the first node device sends a hello packet used for notification of path information; a sequence number determination unit which determines whether the first sequence number and the second sequence number for the first node device contained in the first hello packet and the second hello packet received by the receiving unit match or not; a TTL subtraction unit which reduces the TTL value stored in the TTL storage unit when the first sequence number and the second sequence number are identical; and a cluster information update unit which, when the TTL value for the first node device falls to or below a prescribed value, separates the first node device from the cluster by removing the identifier of the first node device from the cluster information storage unit.
