A wavelength converter includes a low temperature fired glass composition for supporting a fluorescent substance, which includes a glass of P2O5 - ZnO - SiO2 series, which is composed of 30~60 mol% of P2O5, 25~55 mol% of ZnO, and 5~20 mol% of SiO2, and does not contain SnO and B2O3, and the firing temperature may be 600°C or lower.
