PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that effectively utilizes sheets remaining in the device, and a control method thereof.SOLUTION: When paper jam is detected, the image forming device suspends image forming processing. When the image forming processing is suspended, it is determined whether remaining recording sheets, other than jammed paper, existing in a conveyance path can be used when the image forming processing is resumed. The remaining sheets determined to be unavailable are discharged from the conveyance path to remove jammed paper. When the remaining sheets determined to be unavailable are discharged, the suspended image forming processing is resumed. |
