PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of flicker, and a control method of heaters of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of heaters 56 that heat a fixing roller 52 side; a plurality of temperature sensors 57 that detect temperatures of respective heating objects heated by the respective plurality of the heaters 56; and a control unit 11 that controls on-off of the plurality of heaters 56 on the basis of the temperatures detected by the plurality of temperature sensors 57. When the control unit 11 determines that a central heater 56a is turned on, and an end part heater 56b is turned on on the basis of a temperature to be detected, turns on the end part heater 56b at a timing when the central heater 56a is turned off. |
