PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and related techniques that effectively use power by natural energy generation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 is powered by a storage battery 70 for storing a generated output of natural energy generation. The image forming apparatus 10 acquires a prediction result of a change with time in a power storage amount of the storage battery 70 calculated on the basis of a power generation amount by natural energy generation and a power consumption of the power consuming apparatus powered by the storage battery. On the basis of the prediction result, the image forming apparatus 10 executes at least one conditioning process about the image forming apparatus 10 (image stabilization process, firmware downloading process or the like) before the power storage amount of the storage battery 70 reaches a storage capacity of the storage battery 70. |
