PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make use of drain water generating inside an indoor unit for enhancing condensation performance of an outdoor unit side heat exchanger serving as a parallel flow type heat exchanger in a side flow system.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. A parallel flow type heat exchanger 50 in the side flow system including: two vertical header pipes 52; and a plurality of horizontal flat tubes 53 for connecting the header pipes 52 is mounted on the outdoor unit. The drain water generating inside the indoor unit is guided to an upper part of the header pipes 52 of the heat exchanger 50, and flows down along a surface of the header pipes 52. A water receiving container 60 is formed above the header pipes 52, and the water receiving container 60 is formed with a conduit 62 having an exit on the surface side of the header pipes 52. The water receiving container 60 is connected to a drain hose 35 extending from an indoor unit 30. |
