The present invention provides a detection system (20; 60; 80) for a winding unit (8) of a thread (15) around a spool (2), comprising a traveller element (12, 62) suited to receive the thread (15) to be wound and suited to slide on a guide element (11; 71) arranged along a closed path around the spool (2). The detection system (20; 60; 80) being suited to detect the passage of the traveller element (12; 62) on the basis of a variation of intensity of a magnetic field, comprises means (12; 72; 92) suited to generate a magnetic field, means (12, 72; 92) pertaining to the winding unit (8). The invention also concerns a ring spinning machine (1) of the type comprising a winding unit (8) of a thread around a spool (2) and a detection system (20; 60; 80) for the winding unit (8). |
