An endoscope system comprises endoscopes (2) provided with insertion sections (10) having different diameters. The endoscopes (2) are each provided with: a first bending section (7) which is actively bent by being operated and bent; a second bending section (8) which is passively bent by external force; a flexible pipe section (9) which has higher rigidity than the second bending section (8); and a bending section (30) having the first bending section (7) and the second bending section (8). The endoscopes (2) are configured so that the relative magnitude of the diameters of the insertion sections (10) and the relative magnitude of the lengths of the second bending sections (8) have an opposite relationship. |
