PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler capable of easily performing replacement and cleaning of sound absorbing material while securing the degree of freedom in an internal structure having the sound absorbing material.SOLUTION: A muffler 1 includes: a casing 10 including an inlet connection pipe 40 and an outlet connection pipe 41 that are connected to a pipe A, respectively at both ends 20, 21 in an axial direction X; and an internal structure 11 housed in the casing 10 and provided with sound absorbing material 56. The casing 10 includes a cover part 30 for opening and closing the one end 20, integrally with the inlet connection pipe 40. The internal structure 11 includes internal connection pipes 50, 51 connected to the inlet connection pipe 40 and outlet connection pipe 41 at respective both ends 20, 21 of the casing 10. The inlet connection pipe 40 and outlet connection pipe 41, and the internal connection pipes 50, 51 can be freely inserted into and extracted from each other in an axial direction A. The internal structure 11 can be freely put in and out of the casing 10 through the end 20 of the casing 10 opened by the cover part 30. |
