PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress unevenness in gloss between a region in which pale ink is mainly used and a region in which dense ink is mainly used.SOLUTION: The gloss degree of a region in which dense cyan ink C is used is increased, so that at the cyan primary (lattice point 16), the application amount of clear ink CL2 by overlapping recording is made to 32% and the gloss degree becomes equal to that of pale cyan ink LC. At a highlight part (lattice point 8), the application amount of the clear ink CL1 in normal recording is made to 32% so as to achieve a gloss degree equal to the highest gloss degree achieved by the dense cyan ink C. The gloss degree becomes approximately constant across all the regions from white to cyan. In other words, unevenness in gloss can be suppressed. |
