WOUND SHIELD Abstract A shield for protecting and healing a wound comprises: a conformable frame 5 (212) having a preformed shape to circumscribe the wound and one or more internal layers; a first adhesive layer securing the conformable frame around the wound; a lid (202) engaging the conformable frame to enclose a space about the wound, the lid configured to allow for moisture transmission; a second adhesive layer securing the lid to the conformable frame; and one or more access ports (214, 216) through the lid or 10 conformable frame for insertion of material into the enclosed space.
