PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot plate for a plastic optical fiber, which achieves the reduction in size and cost.SOLUTION: A hot plate for a plastic optical fiber includes an upper synthetic resin case 2 in which a through hole 11 for inserting a plastic optical fiber 31 is formed, and a lower synthetic resin case 3 housing heating means 13 for heating an end face of the plastic optical fiber 31. The heating means 13 includes a heat source 21, and a holding plate 22 which is formed of a material with large heat capacity and which holds the heat source 21. The size of the heat source 21 is smaller than a diameter of the through hole 11 and larger than an outer diameter of a core layer 32 of the plastic optical fiber 31. |
