PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method for a brittle plate-shaped workpiece, and a cutting device thereof.SOLUTION: Both faces of a brittle plate-shaped workpiece 20 are held along a predetremined cutting line, using a holding mold 10, and a finished product region of the brittle plate-shaped workpiece 20 is held. Next, a projection of a cutting mold 30 in the cutting direction is fitted to the predetremined cutting line along the edge of the holding mold 10. An impact force is applied to the brittle plate-shaped workpiece 20 by the cutting mold 30 to perform cutting. Thereby, the cutting of the brittle plate-shaped workpiece is completed, enabling precise processing so that the brittle plate-shaped workpiece has a necessary shape or contour. |
