PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit intrusion of termites into a wood part in a building by a foundation heat insulating method.SOLUTION: A solution containing polyethylene glycol, water, and 10-40 wt.% of a boric acid-based compound is applied to (a) a clearance between a heat insulating material and a foundation, (c) the surfaces of the heat insulating material and a foundation side wall inside a building, and (f) the building inside surfaces of floor posts, piping, and cables communicating with the ground and building wood parts. As a heat insulating material, (b) a heat insulating material made of a foamed resin, containing 2,500 ppm or more of a borate is used. All potential intrusion paths of termites are closed by filling an airtight sealant containing a termite repellent into (d) a clearance in a joint between the heat insulating materials, and (e) a clearance between the foundation and piping or a cable taking out port installed so as to penetrate the foundation, and a drain port installed during a construction period. |
