The linear drive (12) has a stop unit (22) having primary stop element (24) which is connected to end portion (26) of nut (20) in fixed position and in circumferential direction of spindle (18) facing one contact surface. A secondary stop element (28) is arranged adjacent to end portion of nut and is connected to end portion (30) of spindle in fixed position, and in circumferential direction of spindle facing other contact surface. The contact surfaces of the primary and secondary stop elements are releasably engaged with each other in stop position of the stop unit. An independent claim is included for actuator for actuating braking device for ring gear of pulley arrangement.
