The crosshead-large diesel engine has a base plate for accommodating a crankshaft and a column (5) comprising two outer walls, which is arranged on the base plate. A cylinder section is arranged on the column for receiving of cylinders. The base plate, the column and the cylinder section are connected with each other by a tension rod. The tension rod extends in area of the column along support walls (81,82). A vibration compensator (12) is formed between two support walls. |
