<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing an influence of a background in an image before overlay execution more than a prior art during overlay execution. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an overlay executing means which executes overlay for combining image data of a document and image data of a form; and a translucent color receiving means for receiving the designation of a translucent color for at least either the image data of the document or the image data of the form.
