<p>A method of analysing motion of a vehicle comprising a removable mobile device, the mobile device comprising an accelerometer and a magnetometer, and the method comprising: receiving acceleration data from the accelerometer, wherein the acceleration data is in a body frame of the mobile device; receiving magnetic field data from the magnetometer, wherein the magnetic field data is associated with an Earth frame, and in the body frame of the mobile device; transforming the acceleration data from the body frame of the mobile device into the Earth frame using the magnetic field data; and analysing one or more aspects of the motion of the vehicle by comparing the acceleration data in the Earth frame to predetermined values.</p> |
