<p>The binding has two lateral jaws (5a, 5b) arranged face to face laterally, where the jaws are pivotally mounted about longitudinal axes (7a, 7b). The jaws are attached with side areas of a ski boot in a retaining position so as to define a pivot axis of the boot. A transverse vertical plane passes through the pivot axis defining a front zone and a rear zone such that a ski brake (4) is pivotally mounted around a transverse axis to assume the two positions including a brake position and a retracted position (PE), where the transverse axis of the brake is located in the rear zone.</p> |
