The device (20) has a haul-off unit (40) with a take-up roller (42) for the strips which entangles a partial periphery of the take-up roller. The peripheral surface of the take-up roller is formed rigid and is provided with roughness which provides slip-free transport of the strips in the zone of thermofixing. The roughness on the peripheral surface of the take-up roller consist of elevations or depressions, which have average particle size of less than or equal to 50 microns. The roughness is generated by graining an abrasive paper.
