An anti -vandal system (10) for protecting the glazing panels of plant or other machinery comprising a roller shutter (16) associated with each glazing panel. The roller shutters are preferably adapted to cover, and extend beyond, a periphery of its associated glazing panel, optionally to cover an entire side of the cab (12). Any one or more of the roller shutters may comprises an articulable sheet (62) that is moveable between a stowed position in which it is rolled around a spindle (60), and a deployed position in which a portion of the articulable sheet is unrolled from the spindle to cover the glazing panel. The anti -vandal system is preferably adapted to be mounted on the roof of the cab using existing mounting points thereon.
