PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operating system to reliably implement a process for acquiring memory data through a panic dump when a malfunction occurs. SOLUTION: In the constituent information of a main memory 5 which is provided to the operating system by boot firmware, at startup of the operating system in a system operation mode and at a dump operation mode, a plurality of different regions (a first main memory region, a second main memory region) are set and a dumping process is executed by restarting the operating system in the dump operation mode while malfunction-time memory information is saved at the time of occurrence of malfunction.
