PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lunch box capable of preventing mixture of a foreign substance by covering a valve part to discharge steam with a label and capable of discharging steam when the steam is generated inside a container body without interference of the label because a valve is securely opened. SOLUTION: The lunch box includes the container body which can be heated in a microwave oven, and a lid to cover an opening of the container body in the sealed state. The lid of the lunch box includes a lid body to cover the opening of the container body, a recess formed in a part of the upper surface of the lid body, the valve formed of a notch formed in the recess for discharging steam generated inside the container body, a minute steam discharging groove formed in the peripheral edge of the recess, and the label pasted to the lid body. The outer circumference of the label is located in the vicinity of the outside end of the steam discharging groove, and the label can cover the recess and the steam discharging groove on the whole or leaving a part of the outer circumference of the groove.
