[Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii).] A table, seat, or other article, e.g. a bed table for use by invalids, comprises two pairs of pivoted legs, each pair consisting of a member of approximately an inverted U- shape ; as shown, the limbs of the U are formed by the parts 10, 11 of a closed loop of wire with a re-entrant part 12, while the base is formed by a cranked portion 14 extending transversely between metal bearings 17, each fitted with friction devices, such as bowed springs, which prevent the legs from turning freely.
