The plate (10) has a lower side (18) lying opposite to an upper side (16), where the plate is made of glass or glass ceramic. A mounting frame (14) is connected with the lower side. A protective film (20) is arranged partly in an edge area of the lower side in a rotatable manner and protects a coating of the lower side from mechanical wear. The mounting frame is formed as a partly rotating mounting rail, which is spaced apart from an edge of the plate. The film is arranged in a strip-shape in a region between the rail and an outer rim of the plate.
