The backrest (1) has a neck heater (3) for supplying air flow i.e. warm air flow, into a neck region of a seat of a motor vehicle. Blowers and heating elements are integrated into an air flow channel (4), which is separated into two arms (5, 6) at a side of an inlet. An outlet opening of the channel is arranged in a region of an upper part of the backrest. The blowers exhibit same dimensions and same or different performances. The blowers are arranged in inlet regions of the arms, and the heating elements are arranged behind the blowers in a flow direction.
