<p>The invention relates to a coupling (10) for connecting two shaft sections (50, 52), preferably two shaft sections of a steering shaft for a vehicle steering system, in a damping manner, wherein the coupling (10) comprises a bushing arrangement (12) having, with respect to a central longitudinal axis (A), a radially inner bushing (14) and a radially outer bushing (16), wherein the radially inner bushing (14) can be coupled to a first shaft section (50) and the radially outer bushing (16) can be coupled to a second shaft section (56) so as to transmit torque, wherein a damping layer (32) is provided between the radially inner bushing (14) and the radially outer bushing (16). According to the invention, the bushing arrangement (12) can have a circumferentially wave-shaped contour, as viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis (A), wherein the radially inner bushing (14) and the radially outer bushing (16) have shafts that mesh with each other, and wherein the damping layer (32) is provided with axial openings (34, 36), which extend reciprocally from both axial ends of the coupling (10) into the damping layer (32) so that damping blocks (44, 46) are formed at the axial ends of the coupling (10) between the radially inner and radially outer bushings (14, 16).</p> |
