<p>Paint is recycled in a method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a paint precursor, comprising degraded paint; and (b) treating the paint precursor by: testing the pH of the paint precursor and, if necessary, adjusting the pH to lie within a predetermined range; and testing one or more of the following properties of the paint precursor and, if necessary, adjusting the property or properties to lie with a predetermined range: (i) specific gravity; (ii) solids content; (iii) viscosity; and (iv) opacity, whereby at least one of the pH, specific gravity, solids content, viscosity, and opacity of the paint precursor is adjusted, thereby producing useable paint, recycled from degraded paint.</p> |
