A reaction type turbine according to the present invention includes a rotary shaft enlarging member joined to a rotary shaft between a housing inlet and a rotor. As the pressing area on which working fluid applies pressure to the rotary shaft in a direction opposite to a flowing direction, the power to the direction opposite to the flowing direction is increase so that thrust applied to the flowing direction of the working fluid can be reduced. Therefore, the installation of a separate thrust bearing for supporting the thrust in the flowing direction is not necessary. Furthermore, the rotary shaft enlarging member is separately formed to have the diameter larger than the diameter of the rotary shaft and joined to the rotary shaft so that time and expenses for enlarging the diameter of the rotary shaft are reduced. |
