PURPOSE: A device and a method for forming a shaft for a door striker of a vehicle are provided to tightly fix the exterior of a shaft with the pawl of a latch by reducing the interval between inflection points of a curve portion of a U-shaped shaft. CONSTITUTION: A device for forming a shaft for a door striker of a vehicle comprises a blanking and bending process for cutting a material into a shaft with a predetermined length and bending the shaft in a U shape and a flattening process for forming a second curve portion(R2) by moving inflection points(P1,P2) to minimize a first curve portion(R1) of the U-shaped shaft. The flattening process forms the inflection points of the second curve portion that are located close to each other and parallel to or above an inflection point(P3) in order to reduce the interval between the inflection points of the first curve portion. |
