Light strip system with shielding element at the joint between two adjacent rails

The system has U-shaped rails arranged one after other in a longitudinal direction and provided for accommodation of light sources, where the rails form an elongated light outlet opening. A U-shaped shielding element (10) is inserted into a retaining area of the rails in a condition of the light outlet opening and clamped with the rails in another condition. A lower side (2) of the element forms a film hinge (4) in center, so that opposite wall side pieces (6) are inward folded in the former condition and arranged in contact with the rails in the latter condition.
