Installation and output method of tandem mill with winding carousel coupled with in-line inspection

The method involves coiling a performed coil (1) on a mandrel (10). The coil is discharged from a coiling station (3). An insertion table (6) bearing a specimen is moved parallel to a rolling-coiling line until the specimen lies in continuation of an inspection line, where the inspection line comprises an inspection table (8). The specimen is inspected on the inspection table such that faults are detected. The specimen is placed back in the rolling-coiling line such that the coil is coiled. An independent claim is also included for an installation for coiling and on-line inspection of a continuously-rolled metal strip.
