An electronic booster which secures excellent braking performance even for a nonlinear system comprises a motor part including a motor to generate a rotational motion force and a sensor to sense the actual angular displacement of a motor shaft; a ball screw to convert the rotational motion force into a translation motion force; and a control part to compute the rotation target angular displacement of the rotary shaft and the time-based rate of change in the target angular displacement based on the target displacement inputted by an external control device and to compute the rotational motion force of the motor using a feed-forward control method and a sliding mode control method together based on the target angular displacement, the time-based rate of change in the target angular displacement, and the actual angular displacement sensed by the sensor; and a driving part to drive the motor based on the rotational motion force computed by the control part.
