The present invention relates to a dual hotplate bench top unit for uniformly and hygienically softening wax for denture manufacture. The hotplates are heated by 12 V DC silicone heater mats. the hotplates are mounted in plastic injection moulded console and the temperature of the larger hotplate is controlled by an electronic temperature control board. The advantage of this invention is that it can be softening wax while the user is preparing or doing other work.
