377,136. Electric pocket lamps. ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIK SCHMIDT & CO. GES., Bodenbach, Czecho- Slovakia. March 11, 1932, No. 7349. Convention date, March 11, 1931. [Class 75 (ii).] Mounting reflectors on lamp casings.-An electric pocket lamp comprises a battery casing 1 carrying at one side or end a reflector cap 2 containing a reflector 3 and a lens, the cap 2 having a tubular neck which projects rearwardly to slidably surround and be in pin-and-inclinedslot connection with a tubular guide member 4 mounted within the casing 1, so that, by rotating the cap 2, the reflector 3 may be moved towards or away from a bulb 6 supported in a socket 5 carried by the casing. In the form shown, a flat spring 7 secured to the inner surface of the member 4 carries a pin 8 which projects through a hole in the member 4 and engages an inclined slot in the neck of the reflector cap 2, pins 10 on the member 4 limiting the inward movement of the cap 2. The central contact of the bulb 6 is engaged by a spring arm 11 which passes between two plates 12, 13 of fibre or other insulating material and below a similar flap 14a to engage one pole 14 of the battery, the circuit being completed by the other pole, a switch, and the casing. The latter is closed by upper and lower hinged or detachable covers 18 and is fitted with a wire or other hinged handle 19. A modification in which the reflector cap is carried at the end of the casing is described and illustrated in the Specification. |
