A method, system and PARLAY X gateway for implementing an enhanced call are provided by the present invention. The method includes the following steps: during the process of a PARLAY X gateway establishing a call, the PARLAY X gateway obtains the resource type and the resource address of the call via the call interface, and determines to play the multimedia content indicated by the resource address to the calling party or the called party according to the resource type. The present invention enables the PARLAY X gateway to support multimedia ring back tone by improving the interface function of the PARLAY X gateway, adapt to the service development and improve the user experience. |
