<p>A method for controlling a plurality of luminaire units 104, each with at least one dedicated light source 110, such as a light-emitting diode (LED) and a control entity 108 incorporating a wireless transceiver, said luminaire units being configured to communicate via a mesh network 102 established utilizing the wireless transceivers thereof, wherein at least one of said luminaires is electrically connected to a user-operable switch device 106, such as a wall mounted on/off power switch, for controlling the luminaire, the method comprising detecting at said luminaire a signal triggered by action of the switch, determining, in response to said detection, a control action of the light source and a message for transmission in said network to enable other luminaire units to execute a responsive luminaire control action as configured in the control entities thereof based on the message, and executing the control action and transmission of the message. The luminaire unit itself and a related arrangement of luminaire units are further presented.</p> |
