<p>Problem] To provide a small in-wheel motor driving device having a large torque capacity and capable of inhibiting heat generation. [Solution] In an in-wheel motor driving device (1), it is possible to dispose, on the inside of an inner rotor motor (11a), an involute decelerator (20) of which the size can be reduced and which has a small gear number difference; therefore it is possible to reduce the size in the direction of the rotating axis. Moreover, the inner rotor motor (11a) is capable of releasing the heat generated from a first stator (13) because the first stator (13) is arranged to face the outside, in the radial direction, of a large-diameter rotor (12a). Meanwhile, an outer rotor motor (11b) is capable of increasing the torque radius of a small-diameter rotor (12b) because a second stator (14) is disposed facing the inside, in the radial direction, of the small-diameter rotor (12b); therefore it is possible to ensure a large torque capacity. As a consequence, the outer rotor motor (11b) can be formed to have a smaller diameter than the inner rotor motor (11a), thereby ensuring a large space within a wheel (2).</p> |
