Disclosed is an apparatus for forming a planation surface of a glass substrate which has enhanced productivity and can obtain high quality glass substrates at low costs. The apparatus for forming a planation surface of a glass substrate according to the present invention comprises: supporting units which support a glass substrate; raw material supply units which supply liquefied raw materials for a surface layer which composes the surface of the glass substrate; a roller for forming a planation surface which semi-solidifies the liquefied raw materials and laminates the surface layer on the glass substrate and rolls and compresses the surface layer in order to form the planation surface on the surface layer; and roller transferring units which vary locations of the roller for forming planation surface on the glass substrate. |
